How to measure:

It's time to take out your measuring tape and do a little quick math to make sure that when your purchase gets to your home, that it can get into your home. This is your go-to guide on sizing up your space for your new furniture.

 

Standing Sofas on End

  • Corner to corner measurements are required for sofas that will need to be stood on end.
  • Diagonal height is critical for tight turns and the majority of deliveries into basements.

Diagonal depth will help you to understand if your sofa can go through a door at an angle.


Doorways

  • Measure the Height, Width and Clearance of your doorway.
  • Take into account any fixtures or immovable objects for measurements such as light fixtures.
  • Storm doors, and/or hardware may be necessary to remove and removed by customer prior to arrival of delivery team.
  • Any objects or items around your doorways that might be in your way for your delivery, should be moved prior to the arrival of your new items.
  • Some loveseats and smaller sofas may be placed on end and twisted through the doorway seat first.

Stairways

Measure the height (H), width (W) and depth (D) of the stairwells to allow turning on the stairs.

Elevators

Please measure the following areas in and around your elevator:

  • Elevator door size
  • Elevator ceiling height
  • Hallway ceiling height
  • Hallway width off elevator
  • Hallway light fixtures

Measuring for your new Fridge

  • Door frame measurements ensure you have the proper clearance for delivery of your new refrigerator.
  • Any objects or items around your doorways that might be in the way for your delivery, should be moved prior to the arrival of your new items.
  • Doors can be removed from your new fridge to help get it into your home.
  • Measure the height of the fridge doors to ensure it will fit under any cabinets.
  • Measure the depth of the fridge to consider how far it will stick out in front of the counter.
  • When measuring, consider that instruments such as water lines may be on the back if the fridge.
  • Consider the clearance in front of your fridge when opening the doors and drawers. is there an island in front of it?

Washer/Dryer Installation

  •  New hoses and venting need to be purchased for the installation of your washer and dryer. We can not install old hoses and venting. Please see your sales associate.
  • Shipping bolt removal and installation are included in our complete setup.
  • Existing washers and dryers need to be disconneceted prior to the delievery team arrival.
  • Standing water in washing machines needs to be removed prior to our arrival.

Other Considerations

  •  Check manufacturer requirements for ventilation clearance.
  • Baseboards will affect your measurementss.
  • Hinges may affect any cabinetry above your fridge.
  • Consider how far your refrigerator will stick out after the handles are installed.
